Terms and conditions
  • The registration fee covers seminar materials and attendance of all technical sessions.
  • Participants will be charged additional fees for publication based on the selected publisher. We will inform it to you after the conference finished.
  • The registration fee covers one participant only. Multiple authors who are attending must register separately, and those who are not presenting should register as a non-presenter.
  • A non-presenter participant can attend two selected sessions only and won't get any seminar materials. Each session has limited participants.
  • A receipt will be generated from the payment confirmation details after the your payment is verified.
  • Payments are nonrefundable.
  • Payments cannot be made in cash; they must be via e-billing or credit card.
  • Participants are responsible for transfer fees and bank charges.
  • At least one author for each accepted paper must register as a presenter.
  • Participants are charged based on their institution/affiliation not the nationality of the first author.
  • Submitting an extra paper is applicable only to the same presenter.
  • Participants cannot pay the conference fees before they got acceptance notification email.
  • The early bird discount will be expired at September 13, 23:59 am (GMT+7).
1. Payment methods

Payments cannot be made in cash; they must be via credit card or bank transfer to the BioMIC UGM account below:

Payment via credit card (USD)
For international presenter who submits their manuscript in the EDAS system. We do not recommend the local presenter to pay the conference fee via credit card because the EDAS payment currency is USD.

Payment via bank account (IDR)
For local presenter (Indonesia) can pay the conference fees to:

2. Confirm your payment
Before confirming your payment in the confirmation form, you need to prepare these following items:
  • The scanned or screenshot of your payment proof in JPG / JPEG / PDF format.
  • Your paper ID(s).
  • The presenter name.

    Wait for the next 2–3 business days for us to verify your payment

    Please make sure not to miss the date. The deadline for the payment confirmation is on September 16, but you will get an early-bird discount if you pay before September 13. If you did not pay via credit card in the EDAS, you do not need to click the register icon in the EDAS. The committee will register it for you after reviewing your payment.

Presentation

Notes from organizer

Due to the extraordinary global health issue with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), BioMIC 2021 will be held virtually, which will be held via the Zoom platform. All authors of accepted and registered papers for BioMIC 2021 are required to upload a pre-recorded video of their paper presentation.

The presentation should be recorded by any of the co-authors and will be available during the original dates of the conference and on-demand after the conference concludes. We will follow up with more information about opportunities to interact with attendees for questions and answers.

Preparing your manuscript
  1. The manuscript topic should conform to the scope of the conference/symposium and publisher.
  2. The submitted manuscript must be original work and should not have been previously published or presented at another meeting (similarity score no more than 25%). You can use Similarity Checker form Editor pane of Microsoft Word to check it with online sources.
  3. The manuscript should be written in English (US), with font type Arial (for paper title and headings) and Times, Times Roman, or Times New Roman (for all contents, included figures and tables).
  4. The manuscript should be written with a minimum of 4 pages with no maximum limit on paper page counts.
  5. The abstract should be no more than 200 words (excluding abstract title, authors, and affiliations), with two-column of A4 Paper size in PDF format.
  6. The template modified in Ms Word 2010 or earlier and saved as a “Word Document” for the PC, provides authors with most of the formatting specifications needed for preparing electronic versions of their papers. Margins, column widths, line spacing, and font sizes are built in.
    • Font sizes. Title (16 pt); Heading 1 (12 pt); Author name, Heading 2, Heading 3, and Content (10 pt); Author details, Abstract, Figures, and Tables (9 pt).
    • Margins. Top (25 mm); Left (20 mm); Bottom (20 mm); Right (20 mm).
    • The text should be set to single line spacing.
    • Paragraphs should be justified. The first paragraph after a section or subsection should not be indented; subsequent paragraphs should be indented by 5 mm.
    • Please ensure that all fonts are embedded, not as encrypted/secured file, and has no headers, footers, bookmarks, form fields, links, or annotation.
  7. Make sure the listed artworks have the best resolution for printing (300 DPI).
  8. For both primary and co-authors, credentials along with their full names and email addresses must be included. If co-authors are from different institutions, the secondary institution(s) and the institution investigators are associated with must be listed. Please do not reverse the name order except it is instructed by publisher. Affiliations and author names cannot contain professional titles, e.g., "Professor" "Graduate Student Researcher", "HOD", etc.

Publication

Authors are invited to electronically submit both of their full papers in English to the EDAS system. The submitted papers will be peer-reviewed based on relevance and timeliness, technical content and scientific rigor, novelty and originality, and their quality of presentation. Selected papers that has been presented will be submitted for possible inclusion to journals/proceedings that are indexed by Scopus/Clarivate Analytics/DOAJ: BIO Web of Conferences (Scopus), Medical Journal of Malaysia (Regular issue, Scopus Q3), Malaysian Journal of Medicine & Health Sciences (Supplementary issue, Scopus Q4), Indonesian Journal of Biotechnology (Scopus Q4), Journal of Tropical Biodiversity and Biotechnology (Scopus Q4), Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy (Scopus Q3), Indonesian Biomedical Journal (Scopus Q3), Traditional Medicine Journal (Scopus).
